Guidance from a Living Enlightened Master
Fortunately my life has been blessed to learn from a living Enlightened Master. Acharya Shree Yogeesh became apart of my life March 25, 2004 when I first met him at Yogeesh Ashram in Riverside.
I was raised Catholic my whole life and began questioning my faith when I was 18 years old. Then, I was attracted towards Self Realization Fellowship and Ananda which taught the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. It was good to experience a different kind of spirituality as the Christian ideology dominated my life at that time. I began to found peace through meditation and yoga, however, my heart desired more.
After being guided by Paramahansa Yogananda to find a living enlightened master, my path was blessed with the presence of Acharya Shree Yogeesh.
Learning from an actual living enlightened master is completely different that learning about the master from disciples, or even the master's written words of the past. It must be said that Master's speak according to the times and the people. Jesus spoke to the people of his time. Yogananda the same. Acharya Shree speaks of the present.
In order to learn from a living enlightened master, one must put the effort to learn about the truth within themselves. Acharya Shree has brought my lower qualities to my awareness and has helped me to work on my own self.
Since meeting Acharya Shree Yogeesh, I have transformed a spiritual person and truth seeker.
I considered myself spiritual when learning under Yogananda, SRF, and Ananda's teachings, however, I have realized now that reading books and learning techniques cannot bring one to true self enlightenment, understanding and knowledge.
One must work on themselves to be considered a truth seeker. One must put the effort to become aware of their habits, weakness, and strengths. One must go beyond the mind, emotions, attachments, and violence in order to realize the hidden higher self within.
Learning from a Living Enlightened Master will go beyond the teachings of religion, rituals, and ideological thinking. Learning the Truth goes beyond our world today - it is bitter, but the bitter breaks the ignorance.
To some, Acharya Shree Yogeesh is a threat to the common spiritual people, however, if one really wants to know the truth, one must go beyond the thinking of "This way is right, and that way is wrong." Acharya Shree puts down the religious traditions that continue to trap souls throughout the ages. Many disagree with his comments, yet consider themselves truth seekers.
My fellow truth seekers, truth is not easy to swallow. Truth cannot be told, or read. Truth can only be realized. When you are ready and strong enough to know the Truth, and you want to know the truth whole-heartedly, the enlightened master will knock your door.
The enlightened master will know how much you can handle on a soul level, but everyday you will be growing in your own realization of truth.
If you are a truth seeker, and if you feel you would like a master to guide, go deep within your self, send a powerful soul message to the many masters in the universe, and if it's a sincere prayer, the master will enter your life.
Acharya Shree answered my prayers. I wanted to know the truth whole-heartedly, beyond the mind and physical realm.
